Iranian short film 'Chocolate' by Mehdi Heidari is qualified for competition at Kazan International Muslim Film Festival in Russia.
This marks the second presence of 'Chocolate' in Russia and the first since 2017 Zero Plus International Film Festival which awarded the flick in the short fiction category.
The Iranian title has already participated in many international festivals in India, Thailand, Italy, England, South Korea, Turkey, America and Kazakhstan.
The 15-min film is about a rural teenage boy who deliberately knocks himself to the ground and starts crying to get chocolate from an old lady.
The aim of the Kazan International Muslim Film Festival is the experience exchange of social actors in the sphere of culture and arts of Russia and Muslim countries from the neighboring and far-abroad nations.
The motto as put by the fest official website read, “To the dialogue of cultures through the culture of dialogue”.
The event is set for September 4-10, 2018 in Kazan city, southwestern Russia.
